FREE Metal Detecting for your lost items 〰️

John & Kathe found OUR medal in sand in December, 2021

I love exploring the beaches with a metal detector. But before I ever swung one myself, I was the guy who needed help.

Our first year living on Marco Island, Maria and I were out at the beach enjoying the day. She laid down on her towel, and a small gold medal slipped off her necklace — literally a foot from her neck — and vanished into the sand. We searched and searched. Nothing. Total needle-in-a-beach moment.

Then I looked up, and like some sort of sandy guardian angel, there’s a guy walking toward us with a metal detector — maybe 30 yards away. I waved him over. He tells me it’s his first time ever detecting, hasn’t found anything yet. His wife is nodding, like, “Yeah… don’t get your hopes up.”

A minute later — beep, he digs, and boom. The medal is back in Maria’s hand. He wouldn’t take a dime. He was just thrilled that his new hobby actually worked. We were ecstatic. It honestly felt like he was dropped there on purpose.

That stuck with me. And now I’m paying it forward.

If you’ve lost something meaningful — a ring, a necklace, a special keepsake — I want to help you get it back. No charge. No guilt. No awkward “how much do I owe you?” moment.

I’ve got professional-level equipment and I know these beaches. The sooner you reach out, the better the chances — tides and time don’t mess around.

How It Works

  1. Tell me what you lost and where.

If you twist my arm with a coffee or a cold drink later, I won’t file a complaint.
